IPL has reached the stage where the points table is taking shape and the men from the boys are being separated quite drastically. Mumbai Indians have left their last two year’s dismal performances far behind and have won all but one of their seven matches. Mumbai Indians do look a certainly to get into the semi-finals unless ofcourse they ended up losing every game from now on.
Bangalore Royal Challengers and Delhi Daredevils are the other three teams I feel will make it to the Semi-finals. Both teams have decent balance and even though they do not have as good a record as Mumbai Indians but Delhi Daredevils with 12 points and Bangalore Royal Challengers with 10 points are pretty much a certainty. DD and BRC might not make it if one of their teams does hit a roadblock and just about loses every game which is a little difficult to imagine.
That leaves the 4th place up for grabs. We can count Kings XI Punjab because they have had a disastrous IPL with only 4 points until now.
So now it leaves Chennai Super Kings (8 points), Kolkata Knight Riders (8 points), Rajasthan Royals (8 points) and Deccan Chargers (6 points) as teams which can take the 4th place. I personally back CSK as they are already at 8 points and look strong with the resurgent form of Murali Vijay scoring and surprising many who thought he was only good for Test cricket.

The first three to qualify would be MI, DDD, RCB. Not sure about the 4th one, has to be one form CSK/RR/DC.
MI, DD and RCB are through I think, CSK and RR are the ones to watch for the final 4
I think Mumbai Indains, Royal Challengers, Delhi Daredevils and Chennai SK has the most chance for semis
Mumbai has the greatest chance of winning this IPL. They can win it easily if sachin continuous in the present form

i think CSK will make through the semis for the fourth place. looking good as compared to the other 3

I like the Kings XI too but they have missed the bus this time. They need 16 pts to be in SF but can only get 14 points if they will all their remaining matches. 😐
Mumbai will reach semi as first team… 2,3,4 no one cant decide now..surely it will be CSK/RCB/DC/RR , KKR and Punjab will be out

Considering that the original post was on 5th April, i think, your predictions are truly genius. It does look like the four mentioned by you will be the final 4 provided CSK doesnt play too bad with KXIP.. which is not very likely as i expect CSK to revenge the super over loss which has put them in this position now !

I think CSK might just still yet sneak in but I think DC will go through considering they have won 4 games in a row and gettings their bowling sorted out. I think the teams that will win IPL will be RCB or MI but then again its T20 and very unpredictable.

Both the Semis were a treat to watch, happy that my favourite team CSK is still in the hunt… I guess Murali Vijay will fire from all cylinders to make CSK the champions in IPL 3 !
